Beer-Braised Onions

Makes 1/2 Cup

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in skillet over medium heat.

Add 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced red onion.

and 2 tablespoons sugar.

Cook 5-7 minutes or until onion is soft but not browned, stirring occasionally.

Stir in 2 tablespoons lager style beer, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar and 1/4 teaspoon salt.  Cook 1 minute more or until liquid evaporates.

Top your favorite hamburger or hot dog with these amazing onions and a big dollop of 

                Mimi's Craft Beer Mustard.

Easy Blueberry Muffins


Preheat oven to 350 F.  

Generously coat muffin tins with baking spray.

Combine 1 Mimi's Old Tavern Beer Bread with 12 ounces of lager beer or lemon-lime carbonated beverage.

Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries.

Spoon blueberry mixture into muffin tins.  

Sprinkle top of muffins with granulated sugar.

Bake about 35 minutes (until toothpick comes out clean).
